About The Program
Check out Deborah’s video introduction to this program (previously offered 11/3-5 2017, hence the date on the video title).
Immerse yourself in the soul-stirring process of Touch Drawing! It is a simple yet powerful way to create drawings through the touch of your fingertips on paper. The body, psyche, and spirit can speak directly through this process. Place a sheet of paper over paint and move your hands upon it. Lift the page to see impressions of your touch on the underside. In one sitting, you can create a series of images depicting each step in a transformational journey.
This weekend will offer a spacious time for deep exploration. Deborah holds a safe and sacred space while you draw, with gentle drumming, crystal bowls, and soulful voice. Interior time to draw and write will be balanced with group sharing, vocal toning and movement. You will have an opportunity to bring a few drawings into fuller expression through coloring and mounting. If you lack artistic confidence, Touch Drawing can catalyze your creativity. If you have experience with visual art, it deepens your source of inspiration. If you are a therapist, teacher, social worker, coach, or spiritual director, or if you work in healthcare or hospice, you will be encouraged to bring Touch Drawing into your work.
