It goes without saying, camp will look a little different this year but we are working hard to make sure that it will still have all the parts that make Rowe Camp so special. Safety is a top priority this summer which is why we are developing a comprehensive COVID-19 safety plan. We will also host several parent information sessions to answer questions and hear concerns. In the meantime we’ve put together an FAQ to help answer some of the most common questions.
This document is an ongoing effort to share our plan for keeping camp safe this summer. The State of Massachusetts is expected to release updated summer camp guidelines on May 29, and our policies may be updated at that time.
It is very likely that our max camp capacity will be limited, and we do not know what that number might be. That is why it is so important to register early!
How much contact and interaction will be allowed freely, and how much will take place within cabin groups/pods?
Cabin groups or “pods” will be used for meals, KP duty, swimming, and any other activities that must be done without masks or in close indoor spaces. Although we want campers to be safe, we also want them to have time to hang out and socialize with campers outside of their pod, and most activities and workshops will be done in open groups where campers may choose who they will socialize with.
